Have you ever wondered if it is possible to remove a bankruptcy? How do you remove a bankruptcy? I have contemplated these questions myself as I filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy about 8 years ago. As you may know, a chapter 7 stays on the credit report for 10 years - an entire decade! In the past 8 years, I feel I have more than learned my lesson financially and I am ready to move on - except my credit report isn't ready. That bankruptcy is still on there right at the top where everyone and every bank can see it! It is demoralizing when I have completely gotten back on my feet and completely recovered from the bankruptcy only to be stopped from moving forward in my investing endeavors because of something that happened to me 8 years ago. How can I get a bankruptcy off my credit report? Do I absolutely have to wait 10 years for it to drop off? Removing a bankruptcy from a credit report is probably harder than it seems, so let's investigate.

I have had to dig long and hard to find out if this is possible. I have researched until I am blue in the face.
